Metal Tree by Metalscape, Inc.

Hand-crafted metal tree ranges from 20-25’ high and 25-30’ in diameter, depending on your location and requirements.  The base of the house is 9-10’ from the ground.  The foundation must be located in a 30’ diameter structure and obstruction-free area that is accessible by boom truck. Setup in other locations may be possible with appropriate planning and equipment.

Exterior overall dimensions of house
63.5” x 93.5” x 69.75” high at ridge (Contemporary exterior shed roof is 70” high at top.)

Construction—Stick-built, kiln-dried Douglas fir studs on 16” centers; all studs, plates, and headers are 1.5” x 2.75”

Roof—6 x 12 pitch, 2” x 4” rafters with .5” sheeting and 18 gauge 18 lb. felt; fire-retardant wood shakes on Log Cabin and Barnwood exteriors; asphalt composition shingles on Colonial exterior; clay tile look on Spanish exterior; copper sheeting on Contemporary exterior (shed roof)

Insulation—1.5” thick R-12 polyurethane foam board insulation in all walls, roof, and floor

Floor— 3/4” industrial underlayment for floor base

Porch—Extends 18” from house (if included)

Exterior—Made of high quality materials appropriate for exterior design style; wood exteriors finished with fire-retardant SR307 with sealer per application; Contemporary exterior clad with copper sheeting; fully-operational front door for emergency exit and furniture installation/removal 

Interior—Paneling and interior moldings made of high quality materials to suit the design style; all styles have enclosed vaulted ceilings

Windows—Full casement thermo pane windows with screens; white vinyl trim; sash or casement style to suit exterior design; exterior trim 3/8” Alder Birch; interior trim to complement design style

Front windows—17” w x 22.5” h

Back window—40” w x 24” h (awning style)

Side windows—24” w x 20” h

Bubble window (above door on Contemporary
exterior)—18” diameter

Hardware—Solid brass; trap door has keyed lock

Interior shelves and tables—3/4” industrial almond melamine with alder birch or oak face frame.

Desk—Solid 3/4” red oak with 4 full-suspension
letter/legal file drawers, 2 pull-out shelves, and center pencil drawer

Electrical—Concealed 3/4” EMT conduit with two outlet boxes and one ceiling box for customer-provided 12V (low-voltage) power wiring and fixtures, data and telephone wires; customer to provide power transformer and 110V AC power to site (solar power may be used if desired)

Heating/Cooling—Insulated ductwork is provided
inside tree trunk for hookup, if desired, to customer-provided heating/cooling unit.

It is highly recommended that you obtain the services of a licensed contractor in order to make the installation of your treehouse run as smoothly as possible.  Different States have different requirements but it is required by us that you at least obtain a licensed contractor for the installation of the foundation.
